Our research activities encompass a broad range of areas, including mechanisms of influenza virus transmissibility, antiviral resistance, immune response, fundamental biology and epidemiology. We use several different methodologies, including molecular biology, animal models and population studies.
You can read more about our research groups below - we offer research projects in all areas listed. Please contact us if you are interested in undertaking an Honours, Masters or PhD project at the Centre.
As part of our research program, we offer projects for Honours, Masters and PhD students. Projects are generally undertaken in collaboration with a research laboratory from a partner institution and are co-supervised by a member of the research staff at WHO CCRRI and a staff member at the partner institution.
Please contact us if you would like to find out more information about opportunities for research projects.
Congratulations to Ph. D student Paulina Koszalka for successfully completing her Oration/Ph. D Completion seminar on Thursday 18 November 2021
Her talk title was, 'Assessing antiviral resistance to baloxavir marboxil, an influenza polymerase inhibitor'
